Ensignbus and Aveley Football Club Join Forces to Promote Sustainable Travel
Local transport provider, Ensignbus, is proud to announce a partnership with local football club, Aveley FC, aimed at promoting sustainable travel to home games.
This collaboration underscores both organisations' commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
With a shared vision for a greener future, Ensignbus and Aveley Football Club are joining up to encourage those travelling to home games to leave the car at home, and instead take the bus, and by doing so reducing the carbon emissions associated with matchday travel, as well as alleviating parking congestion around the ground.
To encourage bus travel to the ground, customers will be able to get £1 off two rounds of drinks at Aveley’s club house by showing their bus ticket.
Commenting on the partnership, Garry Nicholass Director and General Manager of Ensignbus, said: "At Ensignbus, we believe in the importance of working with partners in the local community, and how collective action can address environmental challenges.
“Teaming up with Aveley Football Club enables us to encourage sustainable travel habits among club members, family and fans, by providing a convenient and eco-friendly alternative to the car.
Aveley Football Club shares this sentiment. Club Chief Executive Craig Johnson remarked; "As a club deeply rooted in the Aveley community, we recognise our responsibility to promote sustainable practices.
“We’re really excited to be working with Ensignbus, to not only enhance the experience for our club members, but also contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment for the local community."
